Import ban

By means of Resolution # 532 the Council for Trade and Investment (Consejo de Comercio Exterior e Inversiones, COMEXI) has lifted a temporary import ban on table salt on December 15, 2009.
 
COMEXI thereby implemented a verdict of the Andean Community Court of Justice, which had called for an end to the import ban on July 15, 2009. Ecuador had imposed the ban on July 11, 2007.
 
In the year prior to the tated measure, no single trading partner hasmore than the GTA minimumthreshold of USD 1 million worth of trade on the affected tariff line.
