On January 20, 2016 Auburn Manufacturing, Inc. filed a petition requesting the imposition of anti-dumping and countervailing duties on certain amorphous silica fabric imported from China. Following that affirmative determination, on June 28, 2016 the Department of Commerce announced its affirmative preliminary determination in the countervailing duty investigation.
On August 25, 2016, the Department of Commerce announced its affirmative preliminary determination in the anti-dumping duty investigation.
On January 18, 2017, the Department of Commerce announced its affirmative final determinations in the anti-dumping duty and countervailing duty investigations.
On February 15, 2017 the U.S. International Trade Commission determined that a U.S. industry is materially injured or threatened with material injury by reason of imports of certain amorphous silica fabric from China. As a result of the USITC's affirmative determinations, Commerce will issue anti-dumping and countervailing duty orders on imports of this product from China.
