On 1 January 2012 entered into force Decree No.1739 of 31 December 2011 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Decree No. 1739 was abolished by Decree No. 1598 of 31 December 2013 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Export tax

Decree No. 1739 introduced a new, non-existent before position in Decree No 1036, namely 2709 00 900 6, and imposed an export duty on it at the amount of 40 USD per 1 ton. In Decree No. 1036 the only similar position is 2709 00 900 9 with export duty at the amount of 60 USD per 1 ton. Decree No. 1739 also introduces temporary export customs duties: on heavy distillates, classified under codes 2710 19 420 0 - 2710 19 480 0, 2710 20 110 0, 2710 20 150 0, 2710 20 190 0 from 15 February to 15 October each year at the amount to 130 EUR per 1 ton on heavy distillates, classified under 2710 19 620 - 2710 19 680, 2710 20 310 1, 2710 20 310 9, 2710 20 350 1, 2710 20 350 9, 2710 20 370 1, 2710 20 370 9, 2710 20 390 1, 2710 20 390 9 from April 15 to August 15 each year at the amount of 15 EUR per 1 ton.

It amended Decree No. 1036 of 15 November 2005 by decreasing the export duty rate measured in USD per 1 tonne of: certain light and middle distillates (from 168.88 to 143.54); certain heavy distillates (from 112.59 to 95.69).
