Import-related non-tariff measure, nes

On 13 October 2014, the Indonesian Marine and Fishery Ministry introduced regulation 46/PERMEN-KP/2014, simplifying the import restrictions for fish and fishery products. With the new regulation in place, importers will only require a certificate of origin and one health certificate. The measure thereby simplifies and standardizes the import restrictions, which previously required numerous licenses, inter alia a certificate of analysis, a certificate of good aquaculture practices or a certificate for product quality.

The regulation came into force on the day of its announcement.
