Import tariff

On 15 September 2015, the government of Argentina via Resolution 3799 updated the list of "criterion values" (valores criterio de carácter preventivo) for imports of data processing machines (HS Codes 8471.60.52 and 8471.60.53).
 

This updated list of "criterion values" corresponds to a FOB value of USD 3.00 to USD 8.50 per unit. The previous import criterion values for these respective products corresponded o a range of FOB values from USD 3.30 to USD 5.40 per unit.
 
The references apply to imports from the following countries: China, Democratic People Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam.
 
Following the GTA de minimis rule, only trading partners with exports to Argentina exceeding USD 1 million are listed as affected.

Update
On 25 January 2019, the Federal Administration for Public Revenue of Argentina adopted General Resolution 4404/2019 eliminating the import criterion values set on tariffs subheadings 8471.60.52 and 8471.60.53 (please see related state acts).
