On 19 December 2008, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) decreased the import duty on wheat and meslin flour from 2% to free of duty. This applies to all countries, including EU, EFTA, and the Southern African Develoment Community (SADC).
Affected trading partners
The GTA retrieves its data on affected trading partners from UN Comtrade. However, for the year 2007, the database was not able to provide the affected trading partners for Botswana, Swaziland, and Lesotho.
