Import tariff quota

On 29 October 2015, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) issued Resolution no. 103 issuing two tariff-rate quotas on the following two goods:

  • Copolyester resins (Ex 001 of NCM 3907.99.99): tariff decrease from 14% to 2% for a quota of 3'200 tons and a period of 12 months
  • Aluminum phosphide (NCM 3808.91.95): tariff decrease of 14% to 2% for a quota of 1'250 tons for a period of 12 months

Once the quota ceiling is reached, the general Mercosur Common External Tariff applies again. The measure took effect on 30 October 2015.
