Anti-dumping

On August 11th, 2015, the Pakistani National Tariff Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of galvanized coils and sheets originating in China (Notice ADC No. 37/2015/NTC/GC). The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7210.4110, 7210.4190, 7210. 4990, 7212.3010, 7212.3090, 7225.9200 and 7226.9900.
This investigation follows the application lodged on June 29th, 2015 by M/s International Steels Limited, Karachi, a domestic producer of the subject goods.
 
On 3 November 2016, the Pakistani National Tariff Commission concluded the preliminary determination of the above investigation. The investigation will continue without the imposition of provisional duties.
 
On 8 February 2017, the Pakistani National Tariff Commission imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of the subject good from China. The rate of duty is between 6.09% and 40.47% of the C&F value in ad valorem depending on the company. The measure is in force for a period of five years.
