On September 17th, 2015, the Thai authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of stainless steel pipe (stainless pipe and tube) from China, Chinese Taipei, South Korea and Vietnam according to the Vietnam Competition Authority. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7305.3110, 7306.1110, 7306.1190, 7306.2100, 7306.4010, 7306.4020, 7306.4030, 7306.4090 and 7306.6100. The complaint was lodged by Thai-German Products Company and Puerto The Millennium Company.
On 19 September 2016, the Thai authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the subject good from China, Chinese Taipei, the Republic of Korea and Viet Nam . The rate of the duty on import from China is 145.31%. The rate of the duty on import from Chinese Taipei is between 2.38% and 29.04%. The rate of the duty on import from the Republic of Korea is 51.53%. The rate of the duty on import from Viet Nam is 310.74%.
