On October 21st, 2015, the Secretary for Foreign Trade of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of panoramic dental x-ray apparatus, analog or digital, from Germany (Circular No. 66, 21.10.2015).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 9022.1311 and 9022.1200.
The complaint was lodged on July 30th, 2015 by Dabi Atlante S/A Indústria Médica Odontológica. The investigation started on the day of the publication of the circular in the Federal Official Gazette of Brazil, i.e. on October 22nd, 2015.
A similar anti-dumping investigation was already initiated earlier in 2015 before being terminated without imposition of any measure. For more details, please see measure 8677.
On 19 February 2016, the Brazilian authorities made an affirmative preliminary determination, however no duties was at this point applied.
On 9 February 2017, the Brazilian authorities terminated the above investigation without the imposition of anti-dumping duties.
