Financial grant

On 23 January 2015, Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan announced that the budget for the Dry Season Farming Programme of 2015 is going to be allotted with 26 billion Naira (USD 138 million). This is nearly double the amount of 2014's budget of 14 billion Naira.

The Dry Season Farming Programme figures under the Growth Enhancement Support (GES) Scheme and provides seeds as well as irrigation to farmers, as most of the country is void of irrigation facilities.
