Anti-dumping

On 15 January 2015, the Thai authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of low carbon steel wire rods from China. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7213.9120, 7213.9190, 7213.9920, 7213.9990 and 7227.90. The dumping is suspected to have occurred in the year 2014.
 
On 11 September 2015, the Thai authorities imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of low carbon steel wire rods from China. The rate of the duty ranges from 17.16 to 34.44%. The duty is applied for six month.
 
On 10 March 2016, the Thai authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of low carbon steel wire rods from China. The rate of the duty is between 12.81 and 31.15%.
