FDI: Entry and ownership rule
On 16 September 2009,the government of Brazil raised the cap on foreign ownership for the state-owned Banco do Brasil. Due to the Presidential Decree released that day, foreign investors may now hold up to 20 percent of the bank. The previous limit had been 12.5 percent.
