NoAs part of its Economic Action Plan, the Canadian parliament passed an extension of the duty-free status for international cargo shipments on 16 December 2009.
Under the new regime, foreign ownership and control restrictions as well as size restrictions are removed. Now, shipping containers that are re-exported within 30 days may qualify for duty-free status.
