On 2 May 2010, the Bolivian Government nationalized the antimony trioxide (HS Code 2825.8000) plant under the ownership of the Swiss mineral trader Glencore. The Bolivian Government stated that the reasons for the nationalization, were the inactivity as well as the lack of investment by the side of Glencore. Furthermore, the Bolivian state-mining concern Empresa Minera Vinto was designated to assume control of the plant.
