Trade finance

On 4 April 2016, the Export-Import Bank (Eximbank) of Korea signed a Cooperation Agreement with Mexican Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE). The agreement between the Eximbank and CFE establishes a maximum USD 1 billion in financing of CFE activities until 2018. Additionally, the parties agreed to exchange information on projects tendered by CFE. The Mexican company is a government owned electricity provider. The agreement is intended to facilitate Korean companies to enter the Mexican power infrastructure market.
On the same day the Eximbank of Korea signed a USD 200 million Interbank Credit Facility Agreement with Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior, S.N.C., see related measure.
