Import tariff

On 9 June 2020, the government of Turkey issued a presidential decree increasing the import duties on outdoor plants and corks. More specifically, the government increased the import duties on outdoor plants from 3.9% to 19.5%. Outdoor plants are classified in the Turkish Customs Schedule under the customs tariff codes 0602.90.46.00.00, 0602.90.47.00.00, and 0602.90.48.00.00. On the other hand, the government increased the import duties on corks from 1% to 15%. Corks are classified under the tariff heading 4501.

The decree enters into force on the tenth day following the date of issuance.
