NoOn July 9, 2019 the governor of Rhode Island signed into law a bill (SB 576) that may facilitate the provision of massage therapy services by foreign providers. Under existing law a massage therapist licensed to practice in another U.S. state had a grace period of forty-five days from the date on the application fee receipt to meet licensure requirements of this state. One of the amendments made by this bill extends the same grace period to massage therapists who are licensed to practice in foreign country.
