Price stabilisation

On 28 October 2016, the Secretary of Economy of Mexico has announced the new applicable reference prices for sugar.

The new price has increased from MXN 8,130.65 per tonne (USD 434.35 at the time of the announcement) to MXN 11,077.76 per tonne (USD 591.78).

This price is the reference for the price paid to sugar cane in relation to the production subsidies and economic support programs created under the umbrella of the Law for the Sustainable Development of Sugar Cane of 1991.
