Anti-dumping

On February 21, 2019 Vulcan Steel Products Inc. filed an antidumping petition against carbon and alloy steel threaded rod from China, India, Taiwan, and Thailand. Steel threaded rod is currently classifiable under HTSUS 7318.15.5051, 7318.15.5056, and 7318.15.5090 and may also enter under HTSUS 7318.15.2095 and 7318.19.0000.

On April 5, 2019 the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) determined that there is a reasonable indication that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of imports of carbon and alloy steel threaded rod from China, India, Taiwan, and Thailand that are allegedly sold in the United States at less than fair value and subsidized by the governments of China and India. As a result of the affirmative determinations, the U.S. Department of Commerce will continue with its antidumping and countervailing duty investigations concerning imports of this product.
