Finally, the 2018 iteration of the catalogue released by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce contained five items that were added to the list of exported goods, meaning that they would newly require a dual-use licence before export.

'Dual-use' goods are those that the Chinese government deems able to be used for both civilian and military purposes.
