Export licensing requirement
In addition, the 2016 iteration of the catalogue released by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce contained four items that were added to the list of exported goods, meaning that they would newly require a dual-use licence before export.
Such goods are those that the Chinese government considers able to be used for both civilian and military purposes, hence the requirement for a licence.
