In addition, this 2013 version of the dual-use goods catalogue released by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce contained three new items on the list of imported goods requiring a licence.

The catalogue is a list of products deemed by the Chinese government to be able to be used for both civilian and military purposes, hence the special designation.
