On 23 November 2018, the KfW IPEX-Bank announced providing financing for the construction of two container vessels built in Spanish shipyards with 30% of the utilised components coming from Germany. The vessels are built for Greenland's Royal Arctic Line. The financial support has a total value of EUR 30 million (USD 34 million).

A state act in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the investment support granted here is discriminatory.
