Import tariff

On 18 July 2012, the Federal Administration for Public Revenue of Argentina (i.e. AFIP by its Spanish acronym) has adopted General Resolution 3351/2012 establishing reference prices on imports of certain bags and leather accessories classified under tariffs subheading NCM 4202.11.00, 4202.21.00, 4202.31.00, 4202.91.00, 4203.10.00 and 4203.30.00.

The new reference prices have been set at a FOB value ranging between USD 7.00 and USD 25.00 per kilogramme depending on the characteristics of the product. Previously to this resolution, no reference prices applied to these products.

The new legislation affected the following jurisdictions: the Republic of Korea, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Bolivia, Peru and Venezuela.

This measure applied to imports taking place as of 19 July 2012.
