Anti-circumvention

On 18 June 2018, the Australian authorities initiated an anti-circumvention investigation on imports of slightly modified clear float glass from Thailand falling under HS code 7006.00.00 (Notice No. 2018/93). This investigation follows suspicion that the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of clear float glass from Thailand might be circumvented (see related intervention). The investigation follows the application lodged by CSR Viridian Ltd.

On 8 March 2019, the Australian authorities extended the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from Thailand (see related intervention) to imports of slightly modified clear float glass from Thailand falling under HS code 7006.00.00. The rate of duty is 25.8%. The notice extending the definitive duty was issued on 7 March 2019.
