Tax-based export incentive

The Decree issued by the Mexican Secretariat of Economy on 6 January 2016 also imposed tax-based export incentives resultant from the temporary duty and VAT-free importation of goods under the IMMEX program. In this sense, the elimination of several metals, and certain alcohols and sugars from the list of inputs affected by the IMMEX regime implies that their related outputs do no longer enjoy an export incentive.

The changes mentioned in this Decree entered into force 30 days after its publication on the Official Gazette.
