Tax-based export incentive

The Decree issued by the Mexican Secretariat of Economy on 24 December 2010 also imposed tax-based export incentive resultant from the temporary duty and VAT-free importation of goods under the IMMEX program. In this sense, the addition of several metals and certain alcohols to the list of inputs affected by the IMMEX regime implies that their related outputs do now enjoy an export incentive.

The changes mentioned in this Decree entered into force 90 days after its publication on the Official Gazette.

Update
On 6 January 2016, a new Decree was published by the Mexican Secretariat of Economy, derogating the concessions made on the Decree of 24 December 2010. These changes entered into force on 6 February 2016 (please, see related state acts).
