In a decision published in the April 18, 2018 edition of Customs Bulletin and Decisions, U.S. Customs and Border Protection proposed that the EZ Comb, a plastic hair accessory used by women and girls to style their hair, be reclassified from HTSUS 9615.11.5000 (duty-free) to HTSUS 9615.11.10 or 9615.11.30 (14.4¢/gross + 2% duty if valued not over $4.50 per gross or 28.8¢/gross + 4.6% duty if valued over $4.50 per gross). The change will be effective with respect to goods entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after June 18, 2018.
