Anti-dumping

On March 27, 2018 Accuride Corporation and Maxion Wheels Akron, LLC filed petitions seeking the imposition of countervailing and antidumping duties on steel wheels from China. The subject imports are currently classified under HTSUS 8708.70.4530, 8708.70.4560, 8708.70.6030, 8708.70.6060, 8716.90.5045, and 8716.90.5059. Wheels meeting the scope description may also enter under HTSUS subheadings 4011.20.1015, 4011.20.5020, and 8708.99.48.50.

On May 10, 2018 the U.S. International Trade Commission determined that there is a reasonable indication that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of imports of steel wheels from China that are allegedly subsidized and sold in the United States at less than fair value. As a result of the Commission’s affirmative determinations, the U.S. Department of Commerce will continue with its antidumping and countervailing duty investigations.
