On 9 March 2018, the Turkish authorities initiated an anti-circumvention investigation on imports of articulated link chain from India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Spain (Notification 2018/09). The investigation follows suspicion that the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of articulated chains from China might be circumvented. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7315.11.90.00.11, 7315.11.90.00.19, 7315.12.00.00.11, 7315.12.00.00.19 and 7315.19.00.00.00. This investigation follows the application lodged by Tosyalı Makina San. and Tic. Ltd. Şti.
On 9 March 2019, the Turkish authorities extended the antidumping duty imposed on imports of articulated link chain from China (see related intervention) to imports of the same products from India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Spain following an anti-circumvention investigation. The rate of duty on imports from the subject countries is USD 1200 per tonne. A number of individual companies are exempt from the definitive duty.
