Export tax

On 19 January 2018, the Indian Ministry of Finance through Notification No. 45/2015-2020 reduced the Minimum Export Price (MEP) on exports of onions from USD 850 to USD 700 per tonne. Further, the validity of the MEP was extended from 20 January to 20 February 2018.

On 2 February 2018, through Notification 48/2015-2020 the applicability of MEP on onions was removed.
