The Polish EximBank KUKE insured an export contract awarded to a Polish company having a total value of PLN 50.9 million (USD 13.36 million). The insurance more specifically covers a subcontract agreement for the supply of two harbour cranes to Algeria from Polish Vistal Gdynia S.A.
In this context, Eximbank stated: "KUKE provided supplier credit insurance covering not only the repayment of the 2-year receivables due to the Polish exporter resulting from the export contract but also pre-shipment risk."
The transaction was announced in a press release on 22 September 2016.
The GTA includes state guarantees, loans and other financial incentives that are likely to affect the restructuring and performance of firms facing international competition, whether from imports, in export markets, and from foreign subsidiaries.
