Import tariff quota
On 1 July 2017, the European Union introduced and increased tariff-free quotas on certain industrial products.
Tariff-free quotas are introduced on the following goods: certain paraffin wax (60 000 tonnes); 2-Furaldehyde (furfuraldehyde) (5 000 tonnes); certain mixtures defined by weight of various substances (3 000 tonnes); a certain polymer blend of polycarbonate and poly(methyl methacrylate) (800 tonnes); waste of synthetic fibres (5 000 tonnes); certain E-fibre glass fabrics used for certain goods in the automotive industry (3 000 km); certain aluminium alloy compressor wheels used for manufacturing combustion engines (2 950 000 pieces); and certain pistons for suspension systems of sintered steel (1 000 000 pieces).
The tariff-free quota is increased on the following goods: 1,3,5-Tris[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine (CAS RN 15875-13-5) is from (from 400 to 600 tonnes); 5-(Acetoacetylamino) benzimidazolone (CAS RN 26576-46-5) (from 200 to 400 tonnes); aluminium telescopic handles utilised in the manufacturing of luggage (from 1 to 1.5 million pieces); certain bicycle frames (from 304 to 350 thousand pieces); and certain bicycle front forks (from 257 to 270 pieces).
The tariff-free quota level covers a period from 1 July to 31 December.
