Anti-dumping

The antidumping investigation on imports of n-Butanol from Chinese Taipei, Malaysia and the United States was initiated on 29 December 2017. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 2905.13.00. This investigation follows the application lodged on 8 November 2017 by  PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical Branch Co., Ltd., PetroChina Daqing Petrochemical Branch Co., Ltd. and PetroChina Sichuan Petrochemical Co., Ltd.

On 4 September 2018, the Chinese authorities imposed a provisional duty on imports of the subject good from Chinese Taipei, Malaysia and the United States. The rate of duty on imports from the United States is 52.3% or 139.8% depending on the company. The rate of duty on imports from Malaysia is 12.7% or 26.7% depending on the company. The rate of duty on imports from Chinese Taipei is 6% or 56.1% depending on the company.
