Tax-based export incentive
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has through Public Notice 45/2015-2020 increased the incentives on exports of services under the Service Exports from India Scheme (SEIS) by 2% (from 3-5% to 5-7%). The incentives are issued as duty credit scrips on the Net Foreign Exchange earnings through these services.
These increased rates were initially announced for the period 1 November 2017 to 31 March 2018 but were later extended indefinitely vide Public Notice 7/2015-2020 on 11 May 2018.
