Import-related non-tariff measure, nes
On November 30, 2016, the Government of Argentina implemented a new certificate to identify importers of used capital goods known as CIBU by its Spanish acronym. The new official document must be presented at the Argentine Customs when importing used goods for definite consumption from the tariff lines included in Chapters 84 to 90. This certificate allows importers to enjoy reduced import tariffs on certain goods enclosed in these chapters and it eliminates the regime that imposed a four-year deadline to check the final destination of these goods.
