ANNOUNCED AS TEMPORARYNo
Decree 1174/2016 enacted by the Argentine Ministry of Production establishes the requisites to enjoy the benefits applied to the importation of used production lines. As the new regime only applies to cases where a whole production line is to be set, the legislation sets the pre-requisite that projects aiming to obtain the import benefits must contemplate a minimum of 30% of new locally produced goods. In this sense, the Decree establishes that half of this amount must belong to new equipment produced in the country like those described in Decree 379/2001, whereas the remaining percentile can be integrated by other new goods of local origin used in the industrial activity.
