Import licensing requirement

On July 26, 2017, the Argentine Ministry of Agroindustry enacted Resolution 181-E/2017 eliminating the regime establishing the Registration of Import Operations (known as the ROI by its Spanish Acronym) affecting the local swine industry. Previously all import operations related to certain pork products had to be registered and was controlled by the National Office of Agricultural Trade Control (later the Unit of Coordination and Evaluation of Subsidies to the Internal Consumption).
