Import tariff

On September 25, 2014, the Government of Argentina issued Decree 1676/2014 modifying the list of exception to MERCOSUR's Common External Tariff. The changes introduced led to the increase of import duties to 20% and 35% on five tariff lines. Previous duties were ranged between 14% and 20% depending on the product. This import tariff change resulted from the exclusion of these tariffs form the list of exceptions to the Common External Tariff (see related state acts).
