Anti-circumvention

On April 30th, 2015, the European. Commission decided to initiate an anti-circumvention investigation on imports of citric acid (including trisodium citrate dihydrate) from Malaysia (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 2015/706).
This investigation follows suspicion that the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed by Council Implementing Regulation (EU) No 2015/82 dated January 21st, 2015 on imports of citric acid from China might be circumvented (see related intervention).
The product subject to investigation is classified under the following HS codes: 2918.1400 and ex 2918.1500.
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 2015/706 also makes imports of citric acid from Malaysia subject to registration.
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 2015/706 was published in the Official Journal of the European Union (L 113) on May 1st, 2015.

On 15 January 2016, the European. Commission extended the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of citric acid (including trisodium citrate dihydrate) from Malaysia (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 2016/32) originating in Malaysia. The rate of the duty is 42.7% of the net free-at-Union-frontier price.
