The antidumping investigation was initiated on 11 August 2017. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 4011.20.90 and 4012.12.00. This investigation follows the application lodged on 30 June 2017 by "the coalition against unfair tyres imports".
On 2 February 2018, the European Commission imposed a Customs registration requirement on the subject good from China for a period of nine months from 3 February 2018.
On 8 May 2018, the European Commission imposed a provisional antidumping duty on imports of the subject good from China. The rate of this duty is between EUR 52.85 and 82.17 (USD 63 and 98) per unit depending on the company. The duty is in force for a period of 6 months.
