Anti-circumvention

On 7 December 2016, the Argentinian authorities initiated an anti-circumvention investigation on imports of certain coated paper and paperboard from Finland and China. The products subject to investigation are classified under HS code subheading 4810.29.10. This investigation follows suspicion that the definitive antidumping duty imposed by Resolution 298/2012 of 14 June 2012 on certain types of paper and paperboard from Finland and China is being circumvented. The investigation follows the application lodged by LEDESMA S.A.A.I.

On 20 July 2017, the Argentinian authorities extended the definitive antidumping duty imposed by Resolution 298/2012 of 14 June 2012 to imports of the subject good from China. The definitive duty was not extended to imports of the subject good from Finland. Notably, a sunset review of the definitive duty imposed by Resolution 298/2012 of 14 June 2012 was initiated in June 2017, see related intervention.
