On July 9, 2009 the governor of Louisiana signed into law a bill (SB 277) to extend and expand the Digital Interactive Media Tax Credit. It permanently extends this incentive, and increases the credit from 20% to 25% of expenditures plus an additional 10% for Louisiana resident payroll expenditures. The bill also expands the definition of digital media to include technology companies.
