ANNOUNCED AS TEMPORARYNo
On December 12, 2014, the Turkish authorities initiated an anti-circumvention investigation on imports of granites from Vietnam (Notification 2014/42).
This investigation follows suspicion that the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed by Notification 2012/14 dated July 10, 2012 on imports of the same products originating in China might be circumvented (see related intervention).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 6802.23 and 6802.93.
On 17 February 2016, the Turkish authorities decided upon the extension of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of granites from China (see related intervention) to imports of the same products originating in Vietnam(Communiqué No. 2016/04).
The rate of the duty is USD 174 per ton for imports originating from Viet Nam with the exception of the companies Dong Granite Stone Co. and Enterprise 380 Phu Tai Joint Stock Co. that are not subject to this measure.
On 5 July 2017, the Turkish authorities initiated sunset review of the antidumping duty imposed on imports of granites from China. Since the antidumping duty imposed on imports of granites from China was extended to imports of the same products from Viet Nam, the sunset review and its conclusion will hold for this country as well.
On 24 May 2018, the Turkish authorities extended the antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China following the conclusion of the sunset review. As such, the duty imposed on imports of the subject good from Viet Nam is also extended.
