Import tariff

According to the World Trade Organization, the government of Turkey on 01 January 2015, eliminated the import tariffs on the following products :

  • coconut oil for technical and industrial purposes (previous import tariff was 10%) 
  • certain vegetable oils and fats for the production of cocoa butter equivalent (previous import tariff was 19.5%) 
  • molasses for the production of pastry feed and goods (previous import tariff was 31.5%) 
  • iron ores (previous import tariff was 1%) 
  • certain alloy steel products (previous import tariff ranged between 6% and 15%) 

In addition to the denoted, the government of Turkey also reduced the import tariffs on sesamum seeds from 23.4% to 10%.
