On the 2nd of July, 2014, Hong Kong's Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department opened the 'Sustainable Fisheries Development Fund' to tender applications. The goal of the fund is to, 'fund programmes, projects and research that would contribute to fostering the sustainable development of the fisheries industry and bring benefits to the operations of the local fisheries community as a whole'.
The fund has a budget of 500m HKD (64m USD), according to a WTO announcement (see source list)
