On July 19, 2016 Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced an incentive package by which DICK’S Sporting Goods, Inc., a sports and fitness retailer, will invest $100 million to build a regional distribution facility in the town of Conklin. New York State’s performance-based incentives are valued at up to $12 million. (The source did not specify what share came in the form of grants, and what share as tax credits.) Additionally, the Broome County Industrial Development Agency offered an unspecified level of tax abatements.
