On September 6, 2016, the Development Bank of Brazil (BNDES) the temporary reduction in the local content requirements demanded to all producers who wanted to obtain the Computerized Suppliers Accreditation (i.e. Credenciamento de Fornecedores Informatizado), a certification required in the credit operations of the Bank.
The new local content requirements have been set at 50% instead of the previous 60%.
This measure is to last until June 30, 2017.
