Import tariff quota
On November 29, 2016, the Brazilian Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services issued Resolution no. 23 altering tariff-rate quotas on Diphenylmethane Diisocyanate (HS Code 2929.10.10). The import duty was reduced from 14% to 2% for a quota of 23,000 tonnes and a period of 12 months, starting on January 11, 2017.
On May 10, 2017, the Brazilian Secretariat of Foreign Trade issued Ordinance No. 19 extending for another twelve months the 2% import tariff for a total quota of 23,000 tonnes. In this state act, other import tariffs were reduced (see related measures).
